Refrigerant Product FAQs
Answers about product condition, compatibility, EPA certification, shipping, cylinder weight, storage and delivery concerns.
Yes. Refrigerant sold by Coolantix is new and supplied in a factory-sealed cylinder. The original product seal remains intact until the cylinder is opened for professional use.
Check the equipment nameplate, service manual and manufacturer specifications before purchasing. Use only the refrigerant explicitly identified for your HVAC, refrigeration or automotive A/C system.
Refrigerant intended for stationary air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment may generally be purchased by Section 608-certified technicians, employers of a properly certified technician or other eligible purchasers under EPA rules. Section 609 certification applies to qualifying motor-vehicle A/C service.
Coolantix may request certification, employer authorization or resale documentation before processing an order.
Orders are normally processed within one business day. Standard delivery is generally estimated at 2–5 business days after carrier pickup. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
Multiple-cylinder orders may ship separately and may receive different tracking numbers. Delivery times are estimates and can be affected by carrier routing, weather, hazardous-material requirements or address restrictions.
A carrier label may display an estimated, preset, dimensional or billing weight. This number may differ from the refrigerant net weight shown on the product listing and cylinder label.
If you have a concern after delivery, keep the cylinder unopened and contact us with your order number and clear photos of the cylinder and shipping label.
Follow the cylinder label and current safety data sheet. Keep the cylinder upright, secured and in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, flames, sparks and other ignition sources.
Refrigerant should be handled by a trained and appropriately certified technician using suitable equipment, personal protective equipment and the procedures required for that specific refrigerant.
Do not connect, use or attempt to repair a cylinder that appears damaged, punctured or leaking. Keep people away from the area and avoid flames, sparks, heat and other ignition sources.
If it can be done without exposure or risk, ventilate the area. Leave the area and contact local emergency services if there is an immediate hazard. When safe, contact Coolantix with your order number and clear photos of the packaging, cylinder, valve and visible damage.
Review the tracking details and any delivery photo. Check the delivery location, garage, side entrance, front desk, mailroom and neighboring properties. Multi-cylinder orders may arrive in separate deliveries.
If the package is still missing, contact Coolantix with your order number and tracking number at contact@coolantix.shop.
Eligible orders ship free via FedEx and are generally processed within 24 hours. Estimated delivery is 2–5 business days within the contiguous United States. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery on unopened, unused cylinders with original packaging and labels intact. Opened or used refrigerant cylinders cannot be returned for safety and regulatory reasons.
